During construction this page will provide estimated time of construction (these will be updated periodically – locations are approximate based on nearest cross street). The Route 28 overall construction schedule is currently proposed to extend from March 2010 until September 2013.

Upcoming Construction:

Spring 2012- Sewer Construction - Date TBD

Dates are subject to change depending on construction progress and weather conditions.  Contractor hours are from 7 am to 7 pm, as approved at the August 16, 2011 Selectmen's meeting. No work is scheduled for nights (after 7 pm), weekends, or holidays.

Up to 2 Detours may be in effect at any one time. Contractor may work in other areas as long as one lane of alternating traffic is maintained. 

Route 28/Main Street Construction Areas (West to East)

(work in other non-highlighted zones may continue for site cleanup and restoration)

When detours are in effect Route 28 will be closed to thru traffic, however, the road will be open to Local Business Traffic and Residents.  Please see construction signs as access to/from local businesses and side streets within the detour will be construction dependant and may Change during construction.  Work may continue in these areas even if not shown in red, and will be done without the detour as stated above.
